Yrs. Button appeared before the Board relative to a road to her property at Nordland. Engineer Buggee was instructed to investigate. Yr. Kessick and Capt. Whitehead also C8IIIe before tho Board regarding a Right of Way to their places at Wa V{a Point and Jackson Cove, respectively. County engineer to take up the matter with them. Yr. Howe asked the Commissioners for more relief money and Was referred to Mr. Brunton of the Welfare Office. :Mr. W. H. Jensen of the Hofert XMAS tree Company, asked that his Company be granted the right to cut XMAS trees on County onned land and stated that they would P'1y l~ per tree and that they would pay foZ' same on or before December 15th, 1939. Permission was granted and a letter was sent to Hofert Tree Co. to that effect. I The Ho~orable Board and County Audit&r counted the Treasurer's ~ash and found it to be correct as follows: ~ of September 30th: Cash on hand $1,1317.51 - in Bank $57,248.27. On mot~on, duly seconded, the Board adjourned to moet on Tuesda~, October 3rd, 1939 at 10 A.M. Tuesday, : October 3rd, 1939. The Bo~ recOlllvened on the above named date at the hour of 10 ~.M. with all members present. Timber'to be cut for wood was sold to I. T. Larsen on the NW SiI' of Sec. 10, Tnp 30 N, R 1 W. 35~ par cord for second groth and ten cords paid for in advance. . The report of Health Officer Dr. Delaney was received and exam.1i1ed and ordered filed. Report: of the County Agricultural Department and land clearing setup was received and examined and ordered:placed on file. !he re~t of the day was taken up by the COIllI1I1soioners working on the final Budget for 1940. The ~d adjourned to meet again on WedneSday, October I~th, 1939 at 10 A.M. Wedn9s~y, October 4th, 1939 at 10 A.M.
