i'lHEREAS, It appears to the Board of County CClIl!missioners of Jefferson County, Washington,
that it is to the best interests of the said County and the people thereof, that the hereinafter
described real estate, lands and premises acquired and owned by said County by virtue of
Tax foreclosure sales, should be sold,

RESOLUTION NO 12S.
I
WHEREAS, there is now pending in the State of Washington for Jefferson County, an action
wherein A.L. Johnson and Olive Elizabeth McCracken, are plai.\ltUfs, and the County of
Jefferson and Paul W. Thiel, as Treasurer of said County of Jefferson, are defendants, the
objects and purposes of which are to secure a reduction in the valuation of ce~tain timber
lands of plaintiffs and a consequent reduction of taxes in accordance therewith, and,
WHEREAS, it is deelued advisable to avoid further controversy, and that the taxes due
and the valuation of said timber lands should be agreed upon and fixed, and,
~~~, after due deliberation and consideration of dll the facts and circumstances in
connection m th said action, it is the opinion of the Board ()f County COlllmiasionars of
Jefferson Cou..ty, t11at it will b~ to the best interests of said County to Compromise the
claims and demands of plaintiffs, ail set forth in their complaint, upon the basis hereinafter
set forth:
