Upon motion made and seconded it w"s decided to purchase three new trucks and the
Clerk of the Board was instructed to advertise for bids to be opened on January 5th at 10 am, 1940.
One (1) Pick-up body truck and Two (2) dump trucks ~s per specifications and detail in the

VIHEREJ\S numerous pin ball machines hD-1re been installed at various places thro1Jghout the county, and
WHEREAS, these same machineI1 have added to the policing and welfare problems of Jefferson County,
Washington,
IT IS THERlFORE HEHEI:JY RESOL1lED thnt from and after January 1st, 1940, all amusement devices
commonly Jrndwn a~ "pin balJ machines" are hereby required to be licensed upon the following
terms and conditions, to-vdt:

If two or more operators are engaged in the business of maintaining ?j.n ball machines in
Jefferson County, WaShington, the license feo shall be Five Hundred ($500) Dollars a piece per year.
Should the number of operators drop to one, the license fee will automatic ally and without
further action of this Board, increa~e to One Thousand ($1000) Dollars per year, or to the proper
nro(\OrtiClTI thereof, should the change occur during the year.

Any operator socking to take out a !leanec at lIny time after Janyary in' any given year, shaD be
allowed a proportionate reduction in the amount of the license fee he shall pay, but it shal]

for their license at the first of the said year.
