JEFFERSON COUNTY
Monday, September 2nd, 1940.
- The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners meet in regular session with all members present,
Roy L. Nordby, Chainnan, Ray E. .A/r1.meter and Bertil Kruse, members, present.
The minuets of the August sossio!) were read and approved. Sanotion was given to the trip taken
by Mr. Nordby and Mr. Ammeter on July 18th to Olympia at the request of County Extention Agent If.r. Hogan
to view a demonstration on 80il oonservation and logged off land use.
(In August 29th a special meeting was oalled to meet with Mr. Keith Southard who is a representative
of the surplus marketing Admin:l.strationwith regard to the stamp pll.\ll. After careful consideration

An extention was granted to C. W. Olsen 011 all of the t:lJnber property purchased by h:lJn adjaoent to
the Coyle peninsula. Also an extention WaS granted to Mr. Noah Johnson on the timber property up the
Dosll1'lllllips River. These extentions to run .for one yaal' !'ran thls da'ttl.
A request was IIID.de upon the Counoil of the City of Port Townsend in the sun of ~3oo.oo to apply on
the County Healt.'1 Dootor setup for t.ie year of 1941.
The Board adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, Sept 3rd at 10 A.M.

time owing to the fact that this has not been included in the present or4er of take and Mr. lehman WnS

Most of the day was taken up with a survey of the prelminary budget and as this was not canplete
it was continued until later.
The Baard adjourned to meet again on Wednesday, Sept 4th, 1940.
