Mondqy, November 4th, 1940.
The Honorable Board of Jefforson County Commissioners met in regular session on the above named date
at the hour of 10 A.M. with all members present, Roy L. Nordby, Chainnan, Rc'\Y E. Ammeter Dnd Bertil Kruse.
'fhe minuets of the October meeting were read and approved.
Major Lamson of Ft. Wordon appeored bafore tiie Board with an option to purchase a certain tract of land
oWled jointly by the County and a Mrs. Alvord. After due consideration and upon motion mnde and seconded
it was signed by the Caru~B3ioners. The tract in question being described More particularly as follows:

ona Dollar aforesaid ane the construction of a road, the equal of the one now existing on the
hereinafter described property, spid road to be adjacent to said property, and to be oonstructed over a
course later to be designated by the Board of County Commissioners and County Road Engineer, Jefferson Count
Washington, right of ways for said road to be acquired by County of Jefferson.
(a) That portion of H[>,stings Avenue (28th Street) which extends from the East section
line of Section 6, T. 30N, R 1 ,'IV, W.U. all in the NE~ of the SE~ of said section, including any spurs
and/or extensions or changes in this road.
(b) All of 28th Street Extension not included in par. (a) above extending frmm its
junction with Hastings Ave. (28th St) in the NEt of the SE{ of Section 6, T 3011, R 1 'IV '\'l.M., in a
northeasterly direction to the nODth-South half section line vmich bisects Section 5 and 32, T 30N,
R I W. W.I,I. and T 31 N., R 1 W. W.M. , respectively.
An easment was zranted the Austin Company, as follows:

Road No. F-lE-A, a distance of two miles, for the purpose of maintaining and operating a telephone ~le
line. TO P.AVE AllD TO FOLD s"me for a period of 10 years.
