WHEREAS~ all but lots 5 and 7 of so.id" Block have been acqUired by said county throu(~h taX .
foreclosure proceedings, and
W:iERi,:AS this land has long lain irUe without it being put to any constructive public use, and
\',1!i';iiEAS by Section 112% of Reminr:ton's Hevised Stntutes of the State of \'iashington, the Board
of CC".!lmissioners of said County p.re to be tho 0010 ;judgos as to whether or not it shall b" to the best
interests of the County to sell such tax title land,
IT IS FEREBY HESOLVED by the :;oard of Comr.u.ssioners of soid C:Junty that it would be to public
advantage to create a small public park in said Block, complete with tennis courts and any other
recreational apparatus, all to be open alike to every member of the public.
IT IS FliRTIiEa RESOLVED that in order that any objection to such proposal may be full;)' heard by
thi1'l Board, xmd the Auditor shall publish notice in the IlPort Tovmsend Leader" at least once, that
on the 21st day of December, 1940, at the hour of 10:00 A.~r. any citizen opposing this projected
improvement may appear in the Conmussioners Room in the Court House of said County and be fully
heard in his objections thereto.
DONE this 6th day of December, 1940 by the Boadd of Commissioners of Jefferson County.

The Board adjourned to meet again on Dee 7th, 1940 at 10:00 A.hr,

The Board revonvened on the above named d.,te and hour with all members present.
A notice was received fr~l Jjiss Cora Barber, secretary of the Conmussioners Association that
a meeting would be held in Olympia, Trash on Thursday, December the 14th of Commissioners, Engineers
Auditors and Welfare Administrators of the several adjoining counties. Upon motion made and seconded
it was decided that the Comissioners visit the West End of the County on Tuesday and Wednesday and
proceed on to Olympia from the West End to attend the ccmbined meeting on Thursdc,;,', Dec 14th.
