The Honorable Board of Jefferson County COllullissioners lIIet in 11 special session on the nuove named
date and hour relative to a hearing on Resolution No. 188 pertaining to tlle proposed park area in the
block directly across from the f"ont of the County building. Upon openi.I1G of the hearing, },~r. i'ielch
appeared and m(1dtl an appeal to have the proposed tennis court plMed out on the gold! club. i,;l'!l. GrE\Ce
Smith and ill's. Lee Davis llJldMr. Felix McLarney spoke for the park being on the proposed site.
Upon motion duly made and seconded j,t wan decided to establish the perk on the aforesaid ulock

The Board and Auditor counted the Treasurer's cash and found it to be correct in the amount of

Corronission had refused to pay the s.~lary of the deck hand on the Hordland Ferry and asked that
thc County Canmissioners provide funds for the payment of ~le S('~le. After due consideration the Board
inst!"lcted the Clerk of the Board to write )\~r. Dnly that there had been nothinG set up in the 1941
budget to cover this item and that they could not therefore take care of same ?~d that they felt it
was up to the Port Commission to take care of S8me.
The report of the Cotmty Extension and Land clearing and Public health offices were received and
examined and or-dered filed.
