VMEREAS the Department ot Highways ot the State of Washington have adopted StandArd
Specifications 1941, and
\',HBnE.AS the construction of County Roads of Jefferson County 81'9 to be constructed on the
basis of said specifioations,. .
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVlm that we the Board or County COIll/I1iasioners, JefferDon County, do hareby
adopt the lfStandard Specifications 194J., State of WaShington, Department or H:!.ghwllYB".

Road.
WHEREAS it is to the best interests of the People of Jefferson County that pol'tions ot the
County Road System be. improved under County Road Specifications, and
WHEREAS certain rOads have been designated as part of the 1941 road oiling progr~m, and
ilHERKAS such 'Work is !mown as County Road Project No..36,
VrrlEREAS it is decided to increase the number of roads in the 1941 program,
~REREfl~ the approximate cost of said increases is $6000.00,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Port Ludlow, Shine road be improved an,lapproximate distance
ot 6.0 miles, as provided under the provisions of Chapter 187 Session Laws of 19.37 and Chapter 181,
Seasi"n Laws of 19.39 and that an additional sum of $6000.00 be set aside for County Road Project
No 36., over and aBove the amount a.S provided for in Resolution No. "B"7.

It being the the and place for the opening of bids on the two dump trucks and also a
Passenger car for the Commissioners the following bids were submitted:

lUtho the bid of the O'i.lel'.ra Motors Was not the lowest, the Board considered it the
value (dodge trucks) and thus aW..larded the bid to them for $2853.00.
On the passenget' car Buhler Illotor Was low v.ith a bid of $978.00 less trade in value of $53or a
total of $525.00 and Was alVarded the bid. '
. Mr. Hedges of the State Tax Commission appeared before the Board and requested the Board to
appear at Olympia on TuesdaY, April 29 in regard to t.~(l tax adjustment on the NationaJ. Paper PI'oducts
Company plant of: this City.
Upon Motion made and seconded the Board adjourned to meet again on May 5th, 1941.
