The Board reconveened on the above named date and hour with all members present.
Mr. Geo Northup and Mr. Nansen Anderson apPElared before the Board inregard to the upper road
on the Clearwater River, which haS had the status of a fire protection road for the p~st Deveral
years and now the question has came up regarding prpposed logging, over the Snme. After invcstigati0n
the Board decided to take the matter of right of waj up with the ForestrJ department ar.d also with
I,ll'. Polson of the Polson Logging Company and see wliat could be done to permit logging over this road.
It WnS decided to call on Mr. Polson at Hoquiam, on Tuesday, when the Corru:\issioners go to Pacific
Be",ch to ,~ttend the joint meeting to be held there on Wednesday, !.lay 14th.
;,11'. Haines appeared before the board relative to S:mle -;{aterfront property at Irondale, which
he proposes to plat for Sole and WaS referred to the County Engineer.
Mr. Grosse of the State'Div. of Forestry visited the Doard on land for re-forestretion and is to
bring in a new checked list of county owned land which would be suitabls for s~mo ar.d for the approval
of' the Board.
Mr. Neal and 1,11". Grant of the U.S. Forest Service 'Called on the Board with regal'd to County
owned land lying west of the Olympic !-lighwaY near Quilcene and stated that they wopld check up on the
map and call again on'the Board relative to the purchase of same.
It was decided to call for Oiling bids for thlil various county and city oiling jobs and that. these
bids were to be opened on June 3rd at 10 A.E.
The Board adjourned to meet again on Wednesday, JAay the 7th at 10 A.M.

Motion was made and seconded 'to have the County Engineer purchase the lots at the county garage
O1med by 1\1'. J.D. Rlillips and also to have the engineer purchase a drwn 1'07.' the ROed Cat as it
WaS a necessary pari; of equi;Jlllent and at this time very' hlJ.rd to procure, at a coat of $75.00,
The report of the County Health Officer and the County Extention office were received. eXamined
and or,:ered placed on f11e.
