JEFFERSON COUNTY
Monday, Octobllr 6th; 1941.
The Board of ~efferson County Camniesioners met on the above rlBlll9d date and at the hour of
10:00 A.M. Arthur C. Boren and Bertil Kruse were present, Mr. Hugh Niebet 'being ll....lQble to attend at
this time. The minutes of the Sept meeting Vl8re read and approved.
It being the the and place tor the openins of bids for County truck and 1'1~Q !l !}i'\:!' for the Co
Engineer ilhe following bids were examined:
Buhler Motor ComPl'ny bid on truck $1,816.40
Thomas Motors 1,768.14 Aco13pted
OIMare Motors 1,792.56
Mosier Motor Co 1,820.98
The bid of the Tholll<l:J motor Co being the lowest and best it WaS accepted and also they were the
only ones presenting a bid on the car for the Co engineer, their bid of $608.00 plus the present
engineer I s car as trade in w'ls acoepted. .
The Board and Pros Attorney and the Auditor oounted the Cash of the Treasurer and found it to
be correct in the amount of Cash on hand $1,604.92 and Bank certified balance of $102,746.11.

The board reconvened on the above nSl1 ed dnte and hour with Commissioner Nisbet still absent.
Bids for the lumber for the East Quilcene bridge were opened and g wr>a f01md that both the
Port Townsend Lumber Co and the Buildinf..( Su!-,p1y Co had sulmitted a pdce of ~i8.00 per M and so the
bid WaS split between the two firms, delivery to be made at the bridge site.
The following resolutions were signed:

WHEREAS during the course of construction it became necessary to change the plans, and
