JEFFERSON COUNTY
Monday, November 3rd, 1941.
The Honorable Board of Jeffer~on County Commissioners met on the above date and at the hour
of 10 A.M. with all members present.
The minutes of the October meeting wero re~d and approved.
It being the time and place for tho hearing on Emergency resolution No B 33 and no one
appearing vdth objections against the snme, then the following resolution WaS sicrned

Clerk Hire for thfJ Auditor's Office and the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty (;~J50.00) Dollars for Jail

Mr. Peter Myers of Port Ludlow appeared before the Board with a request that the road to his
place. The County Engineer to take care of stlllle.
Letters with regard to the North shore road of the Quinault were received from the followj.ng:
Mrs. Ben Rector, Mr. and Mrs. 'Luther L. Clark and Mrs. Guy L. Bradley and it WaS decided by the Board
that they would at SOlae time in the near future visit this section and see what could be done to make
thc rOad p~ssable at all t~nes and these people wers notified to that effect.
The Board adjourned to meet again on TueSday, Nov 4 at 10 A.M.

The Board reconvened on the above named date and hour v.dth all members present.
The report of the County Health Of I'icer and also the report of the County Extension Agent Vlere
received examined and ordered placed on file.

The Board adjoumed to meet again on Thursday, Nov the 6th at 10 A.M.
Thursday Nov 6th, 1941 at 10 a.m.
The ~oard reconvened on the above named date ruGd hour with all members present.
Lieut. Fick, USA 248th CAe appeared before the Board and requested permission to cut the small
brush in and around the West Secondary on the County o'l'med 111nd and this pennission Vias given him in
writing.

Mr. Jas McCurdy Called on the Board at the request of General Cunningham to see W:lllt could be done
with rege.rd to securing the services of tho Nordland ferry on Saturday and Sunday nights and ",!tel'
careful consideration the Comrrlissioners agreed to pay one-hal~ of tho s~laries of the men required to
manacre the ferry on these special trips providing that the Port Coru~i ssion pay the other half.
Upon motion made and seconded the Board ,<Jdjourned to meet a.gain on Friday, Nov 7th, 1941 at 10 A.I.!
