i'mEREAS sabotage of importllzt utUit1es and plants of this area, such as the water works and it
the paper mill, is feared, an!
WHEREAS absolute protection of them is nscellsar;y for the public order and publ1d health,
IT IS HEREWITH RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County,
Washington, that an mediate emergency enats; that aImed deputy sheriffs, of a number that the
sheriff of Jefferson County shall deEm suitable, shall be placed on guard at .t;he head ,\,/l)rks of the
city water system, the City Lake of the city water system and the paper mill of the National
Paper Products Company in the city of Port Townsend, 'l'iashington; that these deputies shall be duly
paid by Ylarrant,:;l drawn by the County Auditor, duly presented to the County Treasurer, and these
officor3 ara dirscted to draw and honor such warrants whfln presented to than in the manner pro'lided
