The County Road invantory ViaS handed the Board by' Mr. Buggeo lind iillB signed by the Boaro mtiiiloors.

as adopted with relation to Ges Tax Funds, and
WHEREAS, such changes were due to increased cost of labor, materiol and supplies l!l.nd to wartime
conditions,

WHEREAS. during the year 1943, Jefferson County Cormnissioners entered into !'In agreement with the
United states Forest Service to const.ruct access roads in Western Jefferson County, lV"'ld
WHEREAS, such lTork WaB financed by the Federal Gaverrment., reimbursing the County of Je.t'ferson for
such uxpend1tures, e.nd
WHEREAS, ,Jefferson County was in receipt of an amount of monies in rental of County OVIlled f.iquipment,
to the Federal Goverrment for work performed on said projedt, and
WHEREAS, during the year 1943 it VIas fO\Uld necessary to perform Special Maintenance work>> not antic-
ipated in 1942, due to wartime conditions, and
WHEREAS, maintenance costs on the Hoh River Road and the Quaets River Road '\'Iera beyond expectations.
due to heaVY log truck hauling, and
WHEREAS, all maintenance costs over and above ordinary maintenance Vlere reimbursed to the County
by the U.S. Forest Service and the Public ROads Ac.lminist"rtion, and
V/HEREAS, due to an unprecendented construction and maintenance program, due to vlart:lme consitions,
