It being the time and place for a hearing on the granting of' a franchise to the Clallam County P.U.D. a number of perllona appeared, Mr. Norton, P.oo!: MoInnis and Mr. llebel of' Gardiner weN! present and spoke relatjve to the granting of the franchise and Mr. Harry Cotton of Port TOWllflUnd asked on behalf of the Jefferson Co taxpayerfl just mst the granting would mean$ and whether that would place ~ additional burden on 6ud taxpayers and was Qssured that the Gardiner people themfjelvoe would bear the entire cost to th8ll1. Mr. Fl'oehling of the Jefferson Co PUD thought that certain specific rates should be established. Motion "ns made by Mr. Nisbet, seoonded by Mr.MUroy and Passed to grant 1110 franchise to the Olallem County Pl1D and Mr. Rhea was asked to draw up the resolution for the Board to sign.
