The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Camnissionere met on the above named d"te and with
Arthur Boren, Cha1:nnan and Hugh Nisbet, m-.nnbe:t', preBcnt. Mr. Milroy baing ab:sent on account of sickness.
The Minutes of the August meeting weI'lt read and apprcmld.
A motion WaS made by Mr. Nisbet, 1seoonded by Mr. Boren that the Covnty seoure a righ'l; of way from
Knapp farm on the Port Ludlow road thru to Squ8mish. Bay near Shine fUn the County Engineer was instructed
to make a survey and to secure this right of way, all !loon as. posl'lible.
Mrs. Orsborn appeared before the Boa;.::'d relative to a rti-lenso ot the old County FMr grounds and
Was instructed to apply later as hSl' lease does not expiZ'tl unt:ll October.

The Board met on the above named date and hOllt' Y1ith /;I'thur Boren and Tom Milroy present.
It being the time and place for the opening of bids on th~ already advertised county donkey for
sale, there were about seven bids and the bid of W.ll. Gainer of Mats Mats WaS found to be high in the
amount of $400 .00 and was so awarded to him.

The Board met on the above named date and hour with Mr.. Boren and Nisbet present.
Motion was lllade and seconded to have Mr. Arthur Garrett of Quilcene continue as deputy
prosecutor until the resignation of Mr. Rhea.
Land applicatione were looked over and approved for sale.
Friday, Sept 7th, 1945 at 10 A.M.
The ~oard met on the above named d",ta and hour with all manbers presont.
Most of the day WaS taklan up with the examination of more land applications and their approval.
Monday, Sept 17th at 10 A.M.
The Board reconvened on the above date and hour with Mr. Boren end Mr. Milroy precent.
Most of the day was taken up considering the preliminary budget for the ye,9.l' 1946 and after
careful consideration was finally adopted as follows: .
