The minutes of tho September meeting wore read and approved. Mrs. R.B. Orsborn f09peared before thl) Board asking for a reneWell of her lease on the propel>ty known as the Old Fair Grounds and upon the pa;yment ~f the smn of tim dollars ($10.00) was granted a new lease to run for eleven months and twenty five days. . A considerable number ot oit1mens appeared before the Board ih a protest to the Commissioners ralative to the (,l'ansfElr of County cr.mtl'd land to the State Forestry Division and amount the onea who spoke were Harry Cotton, Pres of the C. ot C. Mr. Brooks of Pope & Talbot, Inc and Mrs. Olsen of Shine. These all and othere were opposed to tho transfer, stating that they believed it would benefit the County to sell to induviduals and !l0 the Daed to the State was ordered held up and Mr. Grosse of the State Lands div1clon was so n~tified. . (replace lower Hoh bridge.) To raplac6 the il:lL1st1ng bi'idge with nn SO; log stringer bridge on cedar posts. Cost $950.00 RESOlUTION NO. B 187. (rep!ace culvert) Griffith road. I The Board metcm the above IUlIlted date with Mr. Boren and Mr. Milroy present. The following bills against the county were examined and approved for payment: CURRE1~ EXPENSE $4,070.04 II II ASSISTANCE ACCOUNT 4,067.61 PUBLIC HEALTH 572.16 T.B. HOSPITALIZATION 475.10 COUNry ROAD * East & West. . 9,638.76 Wednes~y, Oct 3rd, 1945. at 10 A"M. The Board met on the above named date and hour 'with all members prellent. The Board counted the Treasurer I s ce.sh and found it to be correct in the amount of $1990.34 onhand and the bank balance as certified by Bank as $253,449.15. A letter was received from the Quilcene Canmunity Association, Inc stating that they favor the disposial of County lands only to j.ndividuals in small tracts, either by Sale or hanestead. Also Q llJt.t.er was received from the Port of Port Tormaand asking that the proposed transfer of lands to the State be held up until further study of same cou ld be made. Friday, 'Oct. 5th, 1945 at 10 A.M. l'he Board met, on the above muned date and hour with all members present. A Fiat of OLF~ POINT was present to the Commissioners for their approval and for filing and this had been core fully geM over by the County Engineer and so was signed by the Board.
