The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commiasionor6met on the 4bove,date and hour with all members present. Arthur C. Boren, Chaiman, Jack Farrell and Tan Milroy, members. The minutes of the December meeting were read and approved. A letter Vlns recehed fran Dlvieion Engr L.R. Durke, Of Seattle relative to the USO Building, and asking if the County wae intereeted in the purchase of the same. Arter due consideration the Board decided that it would be a too costly invsstment and the upkeep would be a considerable sum, 'Lhereforo, Ill'. Durkee WM) notified that the Board was not interested at this time. Tuesday, Jany 7th, 1947 at 10 A.M. Tho Board were in session a short time and then adjourned to proc~ed to Sequim to attend the proposed new "Short Cut to Seattle" road meeting or hearing. .. . Wednesday, Jany 8th, 1947 - 10 A.I,;. All members were present at this meeting and various matters were taken up find emong them the matter of m~ing a bid on Lot 3 of Block 92 0.'1'. and a motion ?Ias made, seconded and passed that a resolution be drawn up authorizing a bid on same. liESOLUTION NO liB" .228.
