In accordance wi th the law governing Public Assll3tance as covsred by Ohapter 289, Laws of 1947, the :Board of County 00mm1ss10ners has been given the responsibility for the detemina.t1on of policies governing the expeJXl.1ture of General Assistance funds. The law specifically outlines the funds available and provides that funds expended during any three-month period shall not exceed an amount equal to the prop.ortion of the unobligated balance of the appropriation. which said three-month period bears to the remaining monthe in the biennium. To implement the laws under Chapter 289, Laws of 1947. the fol1o~dng rules and regulations are hereby adopted to stand as the policy under which public assistance will be handled in Jefii!l:t'llon County.
