The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. II
Dr. Shirley Bentlram, Jr., appeared and requested that the Board contact Dr. Kahl in ;1
'regard to a replacement as County Heal th Officer in Jefferson County. Nurse Alice Steele!
will resign April 1st and a nurse from Clallam County will transfer to this County to ~!
replace her as County Nurse. A meeting will be called with the City and County official~1
to make future plans, Thursday, March 11, 1948, at 7:00 p.m. I
! Mr. Pode appeared relative to, a proposed road at Olympus Beach, and stated his view~1
on the matter. II
Recess for noon. ii
Mr. Carl Neal and Mr~ W. E. Wheeler from the Forest Service appeared and requested I:
:the County to take over one mile of road on the Quinault Road between the end of the Ii
County road and t:le National Park. A bridge will be needing repair shortly and the Foresij;
:Service has given the cedar for bridge repairs wherever it can be found nearby. The !!
County accepted the short piece of road in question. I:

County Road Project No.~
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY,THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their inten-
tion to construct 1.02 miles of improved grade and alighment of the Oak Bay-Mats Mats
:Road in Sections 4 and 5, ~wnship 2$ North, Range 1 East, W. M., by clearing, grubbing,
,grading, draining and surfacing.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CQUN'lY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention Ii
to improve the Quilcene-Center -Chimacum Road by constructing 1.16 miles of new locationll
in Sections 20 and 29, Vownship 28 North, Rnage 1 West, Willamette Meridian., construct-
ing a bituminous non-skid seal from Quilcene to Griffith Road and from Griffith Road thr~ugh
Center to Chimactw, and constructing a light bituminous surface treatment on the Griffit
Road Sect;ion.
