The Honorable Board of Jeffaroon County Commissioners met in regular session at
10:00 A. M., with all members and Prosecuting Attorney A. Clemens Grady present.
W. J. Daly appeared with Mr. Phil Copps and others representing Puget Sound Power
and Light Company.Upon application made by the Company, and no objections being made
thereto, and upon proof of posting by the Audi tor ard publication in the Port Townsend
Leader, the franchise granting permission for power lines on various roads in Jefferson
County was signed by the Board.
Mr. Westley appeared before the Board relative to leasing beach for plant~~ oysters,
on County tideland at Dabob Bay. Taken under advisement.
O. G. Mosley appeared requesting permission to purchase a strip of timber adjacent
t, to ,the County Airport. To be investigated.
Swan Hanson gave a 30 foot right of way to the County in Quilcene and the County
will gravel the road.
Mr. Frank Harrie and Mr. Martin Parkko appeared relative to the Shine Cemetery.
Mr. A. C. Grady, Prosecuting Attorney advised them to contact the Secretary of State
to ascertain if the Corporation of Shine Cemetery Association is still in existence on
the State records. If so, the Board wi1J. deed the ground back to the Shine Cemetery
Associ ation.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Michael of Gig Harbor appeared relative to county road at
Pleasant Harbor. Engineer Keith Jones advised them to have their property surveyed
before any requests are made for closing roads.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
Meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
