In connection with option signed by the Board on March 1, 1948 for some transmission
line right-or-way across County property, the easement and Resolution No. C-51, was
signed as follows:

OF JEFFERSON COUN'rY OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON.
In the Matter of Directing Execution ) RESOLUTION NO. C-5l.
of a Deed t.o the United States of America )
At a mosting of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of
Washington, held on the 17th day of May, 1948, there being present Lyall Arey, Ch~rman,
and George Huntingford and Tom Milroy, Commissioner's, the following resolution was
proposed, seconded, and adopted by a vote of the majority of said board:
"WHEREAS, the United States of America, by and through its Bonneville Power
Administrator has bargained for a perpetual easement over and across the following- ,
described property, the title to which is vested in Jefferson County, Washington, towit:
"That portion of the SWkNWk of Section 3, Township 25 North, Range 2 West,
Willamette Meridian, Jefferson County, Washington, which lies within a strip
of land 200 feet in width, the boundaries of said strip lying 50 feet distant
easterly from, and 150 feet distant westerly from, and parallel to the survey
line of the Shelton-,Fairmount transmission line, as now located and staked on
the ground ov~r, across, upon, and/or adjacent to the above~described property,
said survey line being particularly descri bed as follows:
"Beginning at survey station 136$ ~ 53.0, a point on the north and south quarter
section line of Section 4, Township 25 North, Range 2 West, Willwnette Meridian, said
point being north a distance of 1059.9 feet from the quarter section corner on
the south line of said Section 4; thence N. 460 22' E. a distance of 5909.3 feet
to survey station 1427 + 62.3 a point on the north line of Section 3, Township 25
Northl Range 2 West~ Willamette Meridian, said point being N. 890 34' E. a distance
of 16J5.9 feet from the northwest corner of said Section 3;
to be conveyed to the United States of Amerina for the agreed consideratl.on of TWENTY-
FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00), for the purpose of constructing and operating a federal power
project;
"NOW THERgFORE, BE !'!' RESOLVED, That the Board of County Commissione rs, acting by
vote of a majority of its members, execute and deliver to the United States of America
i a deed conveying an ea.sement in, over, upon, and across the real property first above
deacribed, for the construction, operation, maintence, repair, rebuilding, and patrolling
, of one or more electric power transmission lines, and wires, and appurtenances conven-
ient thereto, with the right conferred upon the grantee to maintain and keep the said
parcel of land at all times free and clear of trees, and brush, and of all structures
or materials which interfere or create a hazard in connection with said electric power
transmission lines, wires, and appurtenances convenient thereto, with the right to remove
,danger trees, if any, located beyond the limits of said right-of-way, and with the right
at all times to go upon said land for any of the foregoing purposes."
