The members of the Board met in Seattle ~th Commissioners of the Counties affected by th0 Ferry situtation. I Monday, July 19, 1948 Tho mElmbars of the Board of County Commissioners met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. A ~eport of the net profit of A6,964.46 was received from the puget Sound Navigatioll Company, for operations of ferries trom Edmonds to Port Ludlow for the month of May, 1946. A report from the Department of Highways was received showing $98,900.00 to be gas tax allooatGd tu Jerre~dOn County for 1949. Mr. \'1. J. Daly appeared with VElrn Hodgdon, for ?l!'. Br.d Mrs. Hodsdon and Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Lasich, regarding vacation of a road through property owned by Mr. Hodgdon in Mal~garet St., Chalmers No. 21. Addition to Irondale. Upon request made by Mr. Daly, the vacation was granted by the ~oard upon motion duly made and seconded. No objections being introduced, the Order of Vacation was signed by the Board as follows: ORDER OF VACATION. The pe ti tion of VERNE G. HODGDON and JUNE E. HODGDON, husband and wife, and PETER " A LASICH and MARGUERITE A. LASICH, husband and wife praying for the vacation of certain lots, and portions or parts of cerrain streets and aheys in the plat of Chalmer's No.2.: Addition to Irondale, Jefferson County, State of Washington, as hereinafter more ,particu~ lady descri bed, came on for hearing thi s day before the Honorable Board of Cc>>1nty Commissioners for Jefferson County, State of Washington, sitting as a court in manner and form as contemplated by section 9301, Remington's Revised Statutes of Washington, and it appearing to said Board that the said petition was filed with the County Auditor for Jefferson County on April 1, 1947, and that the date and place of hearing of said petition was fixed by said County Suditor and notice of the pendency her~or was regularly posted for the time and in the manner prov.Lded by law, and no person, nor persons, having appeared at said time and place as fixed in said notice, to-wit: at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon of the 19th day of July, 1948, in the Commissioners' Room at . the Courthouse in the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, against the p~oposed vacation, and all of the prQviBlons of law having been complied with wid testimony having been ha~~d wi th r aspect to the particular circumstances of this case, it is, thel'e- , fora, I I ORDERED and ADJUDGED that All of those lots in Blocks 28 and 33, together with the alleyways across each of said blocks and that portion of Margaret Street from the westerly side of Holman Boulevard to the westerly boundary of said addition and that po~tion of Twigg street from the westerly side of Holman Boulevard to the westerly line of said add1tion~ be and the same is hereby VACATED, and It is further ~RDERED that a copy hereof be forthwith filed with the County Assessor for Jefferson county.
