A pile driver hammer was sold from road ~ equipment oy private sale to Leonard Johnston Logging Company for $125.00. Bids were called for furnishing Jefferson County with one truck with dump body and hoist, to conform to specifications prepared by the County Engineer. Bids will bo opened at 2:00 p.m. June 0, 1949. ' Jess Tiffany, County Agricultural Agent, reported to the Board on matters pertain- ing to the Agent!s office. Wednesday, May 4, 1949. The members of the Board spent the day in Island County and Snohomish County inspect- ing newly surfaced roads. Thursday; May 5, 1949. The members of the Board examined and approved bills as follows: Current Expense - $6,128.36 Assistence - 3,592.21 Tuberculosis - 894.50 Soldiers' Relief - 100.00 Roads - 13,130.$0 Draina6e Dist. 37.50 A permit for liquor was received from Albert Scribner and Helen R. Scribner d.b.a Bayview Lunch, and approved by the Board. Mr. Timberlake from Western Tractor Co., conferred with the Board. Friday, May 6, 1949., The Board members spent the day at Brinnon inspecting county road near Mr. Gichard's at Black Point. His request for a bulkhead to protect the road was investigated. RESOLUTION NO. C-87. '~EREAg, to avoid confusion with the surrounding cities and counties, the Board by motion duly made, seconded and carried does hereby resolve that commencing at the hour of 12:01 A.
