M., at the Court House, with all member'fl pre!lent. The Minutes of the last reeulor meetin~ were rend nnd approved as read. ^. Clemens Grady, Prosecuting Attorney and the members of tho Board proceeded to Chev~' Chase Inn to inspect the abandonod piece of county rond in frontof the Inn, and over which ther~ :ts a controversy. 2:00 r .m., being the time and place for opening bids for one dump truck for the County, the follo,dng bids were received: Total MOfl!er Motor Co. Yarr and seconded by Tom Milroy that the bid of Buhler Motor Company be accepted in amount of $2995.00, unanimously passed. The County Engj,neer will investigate as to how man~' feet of ri1T.t of '{-ray the County owns at the turn in frortt the Chevy Cha:3o Inn. Mr. J. T. Oen appeared relative to the sale and use of firecrackers in the County~ Due to the danger of fire hazzard, the Board will rule that no fireworks will be sold in the County from July 15, 1949 to June 25, 1950. The motion was made by Tom Milroy and seconded by James C. Yarr. Resolution No. C-88 was signed by the Board as follows: RESOLUTION NO. C-88 NHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners hC'.s been advised that the s~le of fireworks has been conducted by various merchants in Jefferson County, for some time, and WHEREAS, there is great dange~ of fire from the use of said fireworks, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the sale of firecrackers, and other kinds of fireworks, will be prohibited in Jefferson County from July 15, 1949 to Jun~ 25, 1950, and any sales made dl~ring that period will be in violation of the rulinz of this Board.
