The Hoborab1e Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session at i'\
the Courthouse at 10:00 A. M., this date. with all members present. Minutes of the las~
regular session were read and approved as read. !
Mr.cW. A. Neville appeared on tho matter of' the Chevy Ohaseroad.
Mr. Roy Froeman and Mr. G. Tandoo trom Nordland, appeared relative to having the
eloctricity extended 1200 feet to the Jefferson County Park at Nordland. Mr. Tandoo and;
others are interested. in having the lines put in to their property. An investigation !:
will be made into tho matter. ::

The Engineer submitted the preliminary 1950 road program in amount of' $190,000 "
itemized as follows:

Considerable unf'oreseen damage was done to the root of the Veterans' Hall during ii
the severe winter of' 1949, and the budget does not have ample funds to meet the necessa~
expens0 so upon motion made by Tom Milroy and seconded by James C. Yarr. an additional Ii
amount was made available by emergency resolution No. C-95 as follows: ::

WHEREAS, the unprecedented winter weather of 1949 consisting of snow and f'reezing, !
in addition to the ordinary wear, put the roof of the public building of Jefferson ':
County commonly known as the "Veterans' Hall", in such a condition that there existed I!
grave danger that the entire building would be rendered uninhabitable, and that by
reason whereof ara emergency existed requiring the immediate repair of the roof and sky- ,I
lignt of said building in order to restore this public property to a condition of use- i
fulncss and prevent further deterioration, and ii

WHEREAS, there is insufficient tunds in the budget adopted for the year 1949 in order
to pay the costs of such repair and replacement, and that it is necessary that the sum il
of ~U, 273 .87, be appropriated f orthwi th, now th ere616re, ,i
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of the County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State:i
of Washington that an emergency is hereby found and declared to exist requiring the ~i
immediate appropriation, and expenditure of the sum of $1.273.87 from the Current ExpenS\-
Fund of said County, to meet the deficiency in budgetary appropriation by reason ot the :.
foregoing, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there exists herein one of the cases as contemplated Ii
under the exceptions as to notice, it is therefore ORDERED that this resolution and:
appropriation hereunder shall become effective upon adotpion and without further not! co "
