Monday, November 7,1949.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commdsa10ners met at 10:00 A. M., at the
Court House with all membe~6 present.
A delegation oi' West End residents appeared relative to the hearing on the petition:
to form a Public Hospital District No.1, in the Hoh and Queets Precincts. This was
duly advertised in the Port Townsend Leader for hearing at 10:00 A. M. No objections
havlne been heard} the matter will be placed upon the ballot at the next general
election in Novemoer, 1950. .
Mr. A. C. Sparling appbared and requested permission to hold a Barn Dance at his
. barn on November 26th. This matter was approved by the Board, and the license fee was
duly paid by Mr. Sparling.
Mr. and Mrs. Brosheare appeered requesting a portion of the old Coyle Hill road
to be vacated. They were instructed to secure legal repres~ntation ~nd present the
matter through regular channels to the Board.
An ap;>lication for EF liquor license was approved for Stanley L. Mackey d/bJa.
Quilcene Trading Co., Quilcene, Wash.
An application from W. J. Burton was approved by the Board fer Lots 20 to 22,
Block 15 and Lots 25 to 33, Block 15, Irondale, with $60.00 offered.
Notification was received from Washington State Liquor Board that the Port Townsend~
Chevy Chase Golf Club was issued a D liquor license and Robert Malcolm Kocher, Irondale
Grocery, an EF license.
A letter was received from the Dept. of Public Lands relative to tide lands lying
between the line of mean low tide and the line of extrema low tide, except an oyster
tract in front of Gov. Lot 1, Sec. 21, T. 27 N., R 1 W., W. M. An application fQ~
le~sing the tide- lands has been received and the Board will approve a lease only~o 5
years.

Minutes of the la,.t regular meeting were read and approved as read.
A request was made by CF;timacUDI residents to have the telephone pole :I.n front of
Parker'S Garage at Chimacum moved, es it is a detriment to driving at the location, The
Board will request the Pacific Telephone Co., to move the pole as soon as possible. A
letter was received from Chimacum Grange #6$1 requesting guard rails to be put on the
Hadlock Hill for protection of drivers in wet and slipper! weather. The Engineer wa;
instructed to have the guard rails installed immediately.

An application for County real estate was ap~roved for Morgan Z. Evans for lots 2
and 3, Block 25, Eisenbeis Addition, offered ~20.00.
