Wednesday, November 9, 1949.
The Board met at 10:00 A. M. Several residents appeared before the Board relative
to road matters. The afternoon was spent on road inspection in the East end of the
County.
Thursday, November 10, 1949.
ThG Board met at 10:00 A. M. Mr. Paul Maphis of the Feanaughty'Machinery Co., spent
some time with the Board wi t.h referen ce to road sanders.
Mr. Chas. W. Miller, Welfare Administrator for Jefferson County, conferred with the
Board relative to a work program for relief workers in this County.

The Board met at 10:00 A. M., with all members present.

restrictions against use of structures for industrial purposes, being removed by virtue 6f
Pub. Law 311, 81st Congress, from surplus airport property.. .

Mr. Don Peeples, of the Nelson Equipment Co., appeared and informed the Board he
would wring a grader to the County in the near future for demonstration purposes.
An application was recei'ied from Louis T. Buchillo for O. C. Hastings, Lot 1, Block:
4, and Eisenbeis, E part of Blk 24A, offered $15.00. Approved

A discussion arose as to the importance of the work on the Arcadia-Chevy Chase Road
in comparison with needed work at Fairmount and on the Swansonville Hill. A motion
was made by Tom Milroy to cancel Resolution No. C-97, f or repair "Iork on Arcadia-Chevy,'
Chase Road in amount of $9600.00. There was no second to thi s m9tion, consequently the !i
motion did not carry. This work will be done so as not to conflict with other necessary;
work.
Land applications were approved for Harry B. Port, Jr., for Lots 1 to 8, Block 126,!;
Eisenbeis Addition, with $80.00 offered; and for Peter Beres, Jr., Lot 7, Block 9~ i
Broadway Addition, ~nth $25.00 having been offered.
No further business appearing, the meeeting adjoured until the first Monday in
December.
