The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met at 10:00 A. M., at tho
Court House.
A delegation ot residents trom the Fai~~ount District were present requesting a
road into Fairmount. Mr. l'/allace pointed out the dangerous condition as the road is
very narrow. Mr. Margraat, Mr. Reed 8Zld others spoke in the matter. Englneer JOMS ,
stated that the Fs1rlllOUDt ~rk is cn the 1950 road program and 'ldll be done in the spring
as soon as weather permits. The old ~caac:l will be widened IUld bad turns eliminated,
Mr. Lindsay from Dabob appeared before the Board regarding a County road being clos~d

Minutes of the last regular meeting were read am approv ed ..s read.
Permission was gl~ant,ed bji the Board for ail approach to County Road No. 46, Upper
Hoh River R'oad approximately 400' east of Willoughby Creek Bridge.
Bids \1111 be advertised tor gasoline diesel and lubri cating 011 and grease tor
Jefferson Coun~y for 1950., to be opened Tuesday, January 3rd, 1950 at 2:00 p.m.
A report from the pugett Sound Navigation Company for September showed a net profit
of $14,977.16 for the Edmonda-Port Ludlow Ferry.

Mr. S. V. Peach, Jefferson County Treasuror appeared and requested the Board to
transfer .1.1.807.50 to Current Expense tund from the War Bond Investment Fund. Resolu-
tion No. C-~g was signed as fOQlows:
RESOLUTION NO. 0-98.
1~REAS, In cashing $15.1000.00 of Series "0" Bonds held in Current Expense
fund a total shrinkage ot $bJO.OO was incurred through depreciation, and
WHEREAS, 'i'he total payment of interest during the period these bonds were held
, is $2,437.50, which amount is now '.ncluded in War Bond Investment Fund,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That $630.00 be transferrod trom War Bond
Investment fund to Current Expense Investment Fundj that the $15,000.00 then in
Current Expense Investment fund together with the oalan CEl remairu.ng in War Bond
Investment Fund, or $1,807.50 be transferred to the Currant Expense fund.
