HomeMy WebLinkAbout0881 Friday, January 6, 1950. The Board co~vened at 10:00 A. M. Mr. M. R. Strong and Mr. Max Plattner appeared relative to pin ball machine license fee. Upon further consideration, by motion made, seconded and, carried, the Board decided,to accept $600.00 for six months license for ~in ball machines in Jefferson County. Mr. Strong presented his check in amount of ' $600.00. If at that time, pinball machines are still allowed in the County, the further' sum of $600.00 will be presented. Under Section II, Chapter 180 Laws of 1937, it is necessary to appoint a Welfare AdvisorJ Committee to se~Je for two years, without pay and w~th travel expense allowed, to survey the County's economic situation which may cause need for public assistance. The following ci ti zens were appointed: Leo Ziel and Donald Osborne to represent the Crown Zellerbach Mill , William Carder, to represent schools, A. L. Tickner; to ~epresent Labor. i C. W. Miller to represent Welfare Dept. · Edward Grady to represent the Chamber ~f Commerce. , W. J. Daly to represent attorneys. , E. C. Danielsen to represent QUilcene. Elton Guthr1e to represent Center. Dr. C. M. Schaill to represent the medical department. Mr. C. W. Miller conferred with the Board relative to welfare matters. A copy of EF liquor license for Quilcene Trading Company was received. An order of Sale was signed for a County land sale to be held Saturday, February 18th, 1950. A. Clemens Grady appeared relative to punch board licenses and faes. Resolution No. C-104 was signed and adopted providing for $10.00 operator and 3% tax on gross value of , boards: , RESOLUTION NO. C-104. WASHINGTON I Thursday, January 5, 1950. The 'Board met at 10:00 A. M. The members proceeded to the County Treasurer's oftice and counted the cash and found the amount ot $1313.25 to bo correct, as of this date.
