Monday, May 1, 1950.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session ldth
all members present. A. Clemens Grady, Prosecuting Attorney appeared, and brought up
the matter of a refund on the bail bond in the case of State vs. O'Dea and Cullen,
which is #31250 in the. Supremo Court. The Board granted permission for the Prosecuting
Attorney to petition the Supreme Court for rehearing.
iI. motion was made by Jas. Yarr and seconded by Tom Milroy t.hat in the case of
"Sallee vs. Bugge", #5730 in the Jefferson County Superior Court, the COllnt.y join in
the appeal from judgment against the County.

1950, of a county truck driven by Mr. Maddock, and a truck owned by Marts & Bean. The
motion was made by Jas. Yarr and seconded by Tom Milroy.
In order to give Jefferson County ownership of certain lands on which thsre are
gravel pits, Resolution No. C-l13 was signed as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. C_ll3.

Resolution transferring tax title property held by Jefferson County to Jefferson
County'in its proprietary capacity.
WHEREAS, Jefferson County holds tax title to the folloldng described real estate,
to-wit:.
The southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Se~tion 11, Township 29
North, Range 1 West, W. M., lying East of the county road and excepting
therefrom Tax No~ 12, also
The East one-half of the Northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of
Section 7, Township 30 North, Range 1 West,'W, M., and
The NortheRst quarter of the Southeast quarter of the SoutFnest quarter,
lying. north of the County Road in Section 7, Township 30 North, Range 1 West,
l}1. M., and
Lot 6 of Block 2, lots 6J 7 and 8 of Block 3, lot 5 of Block 5 and lots
I, 2, 3, and 4 of Block 0, all in Irondale Orchard tracts, and
The ERst one-half of the Southeast one-quarter of the Southeast one-quarter
of the Southeast one-quarter of Section 10, Township 27 North, Range 1 West,
W. M., and
Whereas, the total amount of unpaid taxes upon said real estate is the sum of
$170.58, and

Whereas, all the said real estate is located in Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that Jefferson County acquire said real estate in its
proprietary dapactity in order that the same may be used as gravel pits for maintenance
of County Roads,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, that
Jefferson COllllt.y acquire the re,,>.l state hereinbefore descri bed in i 1:.s proprietary
cap~city for public purposes as aforesaid and that Jefferson County pay the priccipal
amount of unpaid taxes thereon, to-wit, the sum of $170.58 out of Jefferson County
,: Road Funds, and that upon payment. of said sum by .Tefferson Count.y; thp. County Treasurer
of Jefferson County issue a deed to Jefferson County in its proprietary capacity to all
of the real e state hereinbefore described.
