Puget Sound Navigation Company presented a tentative schedule for the ferry
operating bet~~en Lofal1 and South Point. It provides for ~ hour trips leaving
South Point at 5:45 A.M., to and including 10:45 p.m. and then one trip at 11:30 p.m.
This is satisfactory to the Board.
A letter was received from Nancy B. Garrett, QUilcene, relative to the Fair GrOund~
being leased to the Fair Association. The arrangemente made by the Board will remain
in effect. ' deed .
The County Commissioners signed a ~.~D. conveying 5.6 acres in Gov. Lot J, Sec.
24, T. 26 N., R~ge 2 W. W.M., to the State of Washington for highway purposes, with
the understanding th0 State will maintain a recreation area at that locetion. Resolu-
tion No. 0-114 wae signed as follows:

Lot 3, Section 24, Township 20 North, Range 2 West, W. M., end
WHEREAS, in the improvement of Primary State Highway No.9, by the State of Wash-
ington, Depar-tment of Highways, it is necessary and advisabie for the State ot Washingn
ton to acquire title to the above mentioned parcel of land for a Right of Way for said
highway; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson
County, :tt appears to the sRid Board that it will be for the bast interests of both
Jefferson County and the State of Washington that Jefferson County convey said lands to '
the State of Washington by qui t claim deed for a consideration of One and nO/lOO (:~l.OO).
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County, Washington, that Jefferson County, in accordance with Section 1,
Chapter 2.38, Page 970, of the La\-ls of 19J~7, and through its Board of County Commissioners,
execute said quit claim deed, and deliver said deed to the State of Washington, Depart-'
ment of Highways.
Done at a re.s;ular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County,
this 15th day of May~ 1950.
