The members of the Board met at 10:00 A. M. Mr. W. R. Porter appeared relative to II
the Fair Grounds being reconditioned for fair purposes. If any work relief is available/'I'
the grounds will be given as much attention as poso1ble.
Mr. C. R. Lonergan, traffiC manager from Puget SQund Hlifigation Company, appeared Iii
in regard to Ferry operations for Jefferson County. A ~t~Dn was made by Jamea Ynrr an~
seconded by Tom Milroy, to approve the employment of a reo}.onsible firm to study the ii
r: rates and services for the Lofall-South Point fer-rYe No action on oontracts was taken ii
at this time. No expense to Jefferson County will be involved in the rate study, but [i
to be borne by the puget Sound Navigation Company. Ii

A delegation from Nordland appeared relQtivg to bridge ~cro== Po~t&go Canal. Mr.
Dave Bengtson, Roy Freeman and ~~. Paddock. Eng1nQ=r Jonaa explained probably ways of
providing a bridge. Further study will be given the mattor.
