~:' ':nrEREAS, under tbf'J provisions of Public Law 352, 8lst Congress} approved October Ii
~ 13, 1949 providing for the advancement of funds to vaflious legal sundi visions of the
several states for 'the purpose of aiding in preliminary work in connection with public I
~orks; Jefferson County, in aid of the developement and construction of the proposed I
Portage Canal Bridge, has received $2,250.00 of the allotted sum of ~9 000.00, the
same to be repaid to the United States if and When said bridge is completed and accepted

WHEREAS in order to properly account for the disbursement of this money and other
moneys that may be set aside from time to time by sai d Jefferson County for the purpose II
aforesaid, including the proceeds of bonds anticipated to be issued and sold, there I

District No.2, several residents of the Four Corners, Adelma Bench- Chevy Chase area
