A Resolution No. C-13l was signed by the Board authorizing the Treasurer to
appropriate $600.00 fer the Chimacum Drainage District, said. invGstmant to be made ,-
from unobligated funds in the War Bond Investment Fund. A Resolution from the Chimacum :1
Drainage District was received requesting the action. .

\1HEREAS, there has been presented to this BOARD OF COUNTY COr~SSIONERS a reaolu-
tion of the Board of Comm1sB10nersof Chimacum Drainage District No. 1, wherein.~aid
latter Board has round and declared.that an emergency eX1sts reqU1r1ng the 1mmettLate
appropriation of money, not exceeding the sum of $600.00 for the purpose as set forth
therein, and
WHEREAS it appears that it is in the interest of all the people of Jefferson
County that if and when warrants of said Drainage District No. 1 are issued under said
resolution, that the same be purchased from unobligated funds of Jefferson County, and
mtEREAS, interest has accrued ,in the WAR BOND INVESTMENT FUND with whi ch to purchase
such warrants, therefore, it is hereby. if
RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of 'Jefferson County, that if and ,
when warrants are issued by the County Aud1 tor for Jefferson County upon the Maintenance';
Fund of said Chimacum Drainage District No. l.under.resolution of the Board of Commis- ':
sioners of said District under date of December 1, 1950, that the same be declared a
I Jefferson County investment and the Treasurer of Jefferson County be and he is hereby
authorized to purchase the same from the interest accrued in the said War Bond Invest-
ment Fund.
ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1950.

A letter was received from Wilson Engineering Corporation relative to establishment
of ferry service from Brinnon to Seabeck acrosa Hood Canal. The County hasno funds
with which to build ferry terminals.
A letter was received from First American National Bank stating that the Board of
Directors has authorized the continuance of investment in current Expense Warranta
be cut off at the end of 1950 and funded by General Obligation Bond issue, and making a
request that separate books must be set up by the County Treasurer in order to segregate
income and expense items applicable to the 1950 budget.
, Upon request of Congressman Jackson, .the Board ordered Engineer Keith Jones to
, report in Washington, D. C., this date, for conference on Fede~al Aid money and any
other funds available for use on construction of the Portag~ Canal Bridge.

Max Plattner, representing Ruby Amusement Co., requested permission to pay pinball
license by the quarter aa machines may not be in operation. It was agreed to permit
