The new Board of Jefferson County Commissioners consisting of Lyall Arey James
C. Yarr and Berti1 Kruse, was .sworn in before County Auditor Helen J. Eade. A vote was
cast which resulted in the election of Lyall Arey to continue as Chairman of.the Board.

The Auditor was granted a $250.00 revolving fund for office use, by motion duly
made and seconded.
Land applications were approved as follows:
The cash was counted in the Treasurer's office, and the amount of $2,645.53
to be correct. The Treasllrer's report was signed by the Board members.
Recess at 4;00 p.m.
The Honorable Board met at 10:00 A. M., with all members present.

An agreement was presented by the puget Sound Navigation Company for an extension Ii
agreement for ferry operations on the LofaH-South Point ferry. !i
The members of the Board signed the extension agreement continuing operations until I'~aken
over by the State of Washington in accordance with contract between State of Washington i
and the Washington Toll Bridge Authority. . Ii

Miss Shirley Geddes appeared representing Stillman Bro~m, entering objoctions in th~IL'
matter of the vacation of land in Junction City. No appearance was made by the petitio~
ers, and the petition was therefore denied, until these parties ~an agree on a date for !:
