HomeMy WebLinkAbout0966 Monday, July 2, 1951. The Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met at 10:00 A. M., in regular session with all members present. Mr. Paul Kehrer appeared in regard to the settlement of $750.00 offered by the County for damages to his water supply, by reason of drainage from a county road fill. Mr. Correa, attorney, appeared with Mr. Kehrer. After much discussion, and fully weighing the matter from all angles, a motion was made by James C. Yarr, seconded by Bertil Kruse and motion carried, that the County pay ~aul Kehrer $900.00 for damages to said water line, by pollution from the road fill. A report from the State Liquor Board was received, giving notice of change of location from another site in R2, Port Townsend, for Otto Ernest Witzke and Lillian M. Witzke, d.b.a Discovery Bay Tavern. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read. Hansen is accepted for the 1940 Chevrolot Dump Truck, and the bid of Bishop Cattle Co., is accepted for the 1941 Dodge Truck. A motion \...as made by James C. The memberl3 of the Board counterl the cHsh in the Treasurer's office and found the amount of $1,978.41 to be corract for cauh in the office and the amount of $710,033.95 in the office and bank invoatments. I An applicntion for County Property was approved as follows: Stanley N. Johnson, Lots 31-41, Block 5, Irondnle, offered $55.00. A notice was received from the State Liquor Control Board that an applic.:1ion for BCEF license was made by Thomas D. Clarke for Ludlow Coffee Shop, port. Ludlow. Appli- cation approved by the Board. The State requested permi$sion to move the stop sign at the Beaver Valley cross road from the State Highway to the County Road. The permission was granted. The Board recessed to July 16, subject to call alJ a Board of Equalization in case of noed. A notice was received from tho Waohll~ton State Liquor Board that the liquor license issued to \'1. V. and Jessie B. Hatfield, d/b/a Hatfield' D Upper Hoh Store and Cabins, Fo#ks, has been transferred to William B. and Catherine M. Morse, d/b/a Upper Hoh Store and Cabins. The Board by Resolution duly made, has ordered the County Treasurer to issue a Certificate of Delinquency for non-payment of taxes since 1944, and to foreclose on same. Resolution No. C-157 wqs signed as follows: I
