C-157 '~EREAS, It appears to the Board of County Commissioners of JEFFERSON COUNTY, that no Certificate of Delinquency has been issued by the Treasurer for the non-payment of general taxes since the year 1944, AND, \mEREAS, the orderly administration of County business and the present financially unsound condition of the County Current Expense Fund, requires inunediate attention to this particular. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it RESOLVED: By the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson Count y that the Treasurer of Jefferson Count y, f ortbri th procee d to .is sue such Certifi ca te in order that the same may be promptly for.eclosed, and sale thereunder had before the adoption of the official budget for Jefferson County for the year 1952. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a certified copy of this Resolution be filed with said Treasurer. SEAL DATED this 2nd day of July, 1951. An application for County property was approved as follows: Peter Beres - Broadway Add., Lots 9, 10 & 11, Block 4, offered $25.00. Mr. Neil Pendley, Representative of Teamsters' Union conferred with the Board on wages of road employees. A notice was received fr.om the Washington State Liquor Control Board that the liquor license issued to Wallace U. Norton, d/b/a Gardiner Store, Gardiner, Wash., has been suspended for 30 days, effective July 9 to Aug. 7, inclusive. A notice was received showing an amended application to Thomas D. Clarke from H. Richard Dusey, d/b/a Coffe.G Shop, Port Ludlo~/, should have been marked "Dancing Pro- hibited." A discussion was held regardin8 salaries of ferry operators. A motion was made h;; James C. Yarr, seconded by Bertil Kruse, that Keith Jones, Engineer,llwJ f.;iven permission to adjust ferry operators' salaries as he sees fit. A Receipt and Release was received from Paul Kehrer, releasing Jefferson County from all. claims of any kind by reason of injury and damage to his water system, for the consideration of the sum of $900.00 paid to him by the County.
