The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met at 10:OU A. M., with all
members present.
Col. C. J. Messer, appeared from Gardiner, Wash., relative to closing a road. Mrs.
Rex McInnes appeared and stated the road is on private property. Tax lots 2,3, & 4,
Sec. 27 T., 30 N., R 2 W. W. M. Mr. Pentecost also appeared. The DoaI'd will view
the ro&d and decide as to whether the roau in question is a County road. Cole Hesser
stated, the road gives the only access to their property for several residents 1.n that
area.
Liquor permits were appr0ved as follows:
Antonio pennini a nd Mary E. Beckett, ABCEF - Bayview Lunch, Brinnon.
Wallace U. Norton, Norton's Gardiner Store, Gardiner, # license.
Herbert J. Newman and Izetba L. Newman, Irondale Grocery, Rl, Port Townsend,
EF license.
O. L .Pyatt and Ruth Pyatt, Quilcene, EF license.
A notifi cation was received that Otto Ernest and Lillian 1-1. Witzke, dJb/a
Discovery Bay Tavern, R2 Port To.ffisend, have been granted a change of location to
Lots 3 Be 4, Star Route 2, Port Townsend.
Resolution No. C-160, for supplying additional funds for East Quilcene Road, in
amount of $8000.00, was siGned as follows:

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COIvl/llISSIONERS THAT it is their intention
to supply additional funds for the al::ove named project because of unforeseen factors
that arose after the project was under construction, such as screened gravel surfacing
and asphalt surfaci ng. '
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the foregoing proper county road pu~)ose there is hereby
appropriated sums in the following detail:

The county road purpose herein descri bed is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity
and the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed there-
on as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Jeffe~~on Co~~ty- in accordance
with the Standard Road and Bridge Specifications of the State of Washington as adopted
by thi s Board.

Additor's Land Account Fund, representing unclaimed land deposits, and placing $lOl).OO

in event of claim by any such depositor:

WHEREAS, during the current examination of the various accounts of Jefferson County
by the Division of Municipal Corporations, it is reflected that there is in the hands
of tho County Auditor the aum of $440.00, representing unclaimed deposits by sundry
individuals to insure the offering by 1;he Treaaurer of Jefferaon County of cortain parcels
of tax title acquired real estate! all of which more particularly on the 111;tached list

WHElUMS, it appears it is in the interest of Jefferson County, and especially in
the interest of tho County Current Expense Fund, that such sum of $440.00 be creditod as
