TRANSFER RESOLUTION AND REQUEST FOR THE DIRECTOR
OF HIGH1~A YS TO FE RFORM CERTAIN WORK
Before the Board of County Commissioners of Jeff~9~ County, Washington
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Conunissioners that the Direct.(Jr of Highways
is requested and permitted to \rlthhold from gas tax monies available to Jefferson County
for processing of plans and awardin~ of contract on the above shown Federal Aid Project.
to the amouTlt of two hundred and No/100 --- $200.00) Dollars, being an amount not in
aXC988 of the amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to
Jeffer~on County in the Motor Vehicle Fund during the present biennium and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State Auditor is authoriz~d to reserve to the
credit of Jefferson County an amount not to exceed the above specified sum for the use
o~ the Director of Hlgnways, and upon presentation of a statement of cost, which includes
a~l labor, equipment, material, supplies and engineering, by the Director of Highways
fa copy of which will be sentto Jefferson County at the completion of t,be job) to the
State Auditor, the State Auditor is directed and authorized to transfer the above
mentioned reserved credit from Jefferson County to the credit of the Department of
Hil!)1ways in accordance ~~ith Chapter 82, Session Laws of 1943.

RESOLUTION NO. C-185.
WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, actine as Agent of
and for the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the United States of
America, is desirous of constructing a Federal Aid Project, No. in Jefferson
C01Jnty, over and across
the Nk of the NTI1~, secti.on 14, Township 29 North, Range 1 West,
Williamette Meridian.

~mEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent
for the United States Bureau of Public Roads, is desirous of recei ving Federal Funds for
the improvem~nt of said road, and
WHEREAS the said Bureau of Public Roads of tbe Department of Commerce of the
United StiJtes of America will not participate in the construct~.on of said road until and
unless the County of Jefferson will agree to refrain from permitting encroachment upon
the right of way of said above-mentioned road, a nd until and unless the County of
Jefferson, will agree to refrro.n from passing resolutions affecting the free flow of
traffic on said above-mentioned road or that will give preferen ce to local routes which
intersect with said r09d other than by the erection or installation of "slow" and/or
"caution" signs or signais, or th9.t \\111 unreasonably hindul? or delay traffi c on said
ahove-ment1.oned road, am until and unless the County of Jeffer";on ".rill agree, by suit-
able resolution, to adopt the grades of the improvement as the grades of the county road
that is involved, and ae;ree to protect the State of l~eshington aeainst any and all claims
for damageD on account of any changes of grades and the constnuction of this improvement,
and until and unless the County of Jefferson will aeree to mnintain said improvement
within the limits of the C()lmty of Jeffet":lon efter the improvement }-,as been completed;
