Mr. ~ess Tiffany, County Agriculturist appeared and reported on the necessity for a County Home Demonstration Agent in this County. He explained what is needed and the approximate cost of maintaining the program. When budgets for 1954 are made up the matter can be included and if possible, it will be considered at that time. An invitation was recei ved by the Board for the members to attend the dedication of the new elementary school at Quilcene, February 8th at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Al Ramsdell, J. T. Den and T. R. Yarr, members of the Port Commission met with the Board of COllnty Commissioners and Mr. \',7. J. Daly inforne d the Board of the ne cessi ty of hav ing ,.' some one with knowledge of engineering to handle the cIeri cal work of the Port Commission. He recommended the appointment of Keith Jones, County Engineer. The Board has taken the matter under advisement. A call for bids was made for one asphalt storage tank, in accordance with s pe ci fications, for the Road Dept. Bids to be opened March 2, 1953 at 10:00 A. M. It is necessary to fill the vacancy on the Olympic Health Board, created by the absence of James C. Yarr. Mr. George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Bertil Kruse that Lyall Arey be appointed as a member of the Olympic Health Board. Motion carried. Recess at 4:00 P.M.
