A discussion was held about additional personnel for truck drivers. No decision was
made.
The County Engineer appeared before the Board and reported on present activities of
thE! road crews. At present they are working at Oak Bay and wlll proceed to Duckabush to
replace a cuI vert. The ne cessary repa1. r work w ill be done at South Pol nt and then to
the West End for bridge repair and Aurfacing work.

the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as
by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that th is purpose be performed by Contract in accordance with
the Standard Road and Bridge Specifi cat.ions of t.l}e St.ate of Washington as adopted by this
Board.

It is HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners th~t the Director of Highways
is au thorized and directed to process plans and advertise for bids on the Chimacum Creek
Vicinity Bridge project and Chill'acum north grading and widening project on Secondary
Federal Aid Route No. 322.
to the amibunt of Four hundred fifty and No/100 Dollars ($450.00) Dollars, being an amount
not in excess of the amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to
Jefferson County in the Motor Vehicle Fund during the 1953 biennium and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State Auditor is authorized to reserve from
the allocation of fuel tax revenues to Jefferf;;on County, f rom the Motor Vehicle Fund, an
amount not in excess of the above specified sum, for the use of the Director of Higj1ways
to defray the costs incurred in the perform~ce of the aforesaid requested work, and,
upon notice to said auditor from the Director of Highways th8t such .....ork has been com-
pleted, payment made therefor, and that Jefferson County has been furnished a statement
of cost of all labor, equipment, material, supplies and engineering, the State Auditor
is further authorized and directed to release, to Jefferson County, any unexpended balance 0
of the amount reserved by this resolution.
