I The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all members present. Al Mosley appearud requesting permission to lease the Airport property. The matter was taken under advisement and Mr. W. J. Daly will prepare a lease for presentation to the Board April 6th. Mrs. Lee C. Davis appeared relative to a State Park at Old Fort TOI'lOsend. No act:!.on taken. Keith Jones, Engineer, presented the plans and estimate of the ArcRIUfl Bridge to the Board. A call for bids W'=\f\ made for Arcadia Overpass acr'o ss Port 'ro...Tlsend Southern tracks on County Road No. 31, to be opened April 6, 1953 at 10:00 A. M. Mr. JOIl3S reported that Mr. Grf:ves, Engineer and Bridge Desiener of the Bureau of Public Roads, inspected the Portage Canal Bridge on March 13th, and reported everything in good corrli tion. The engineer reported on road work to be done in the future. The Duckabusp Hill road to be first, the Ed Bishop road second, and the Bee Mill road in the Fall. These arraneements are made to coincide wi th the 1 east amount of traffic on each road. Mr. W. C. Lehman, Geoligiot, appeared before the Board discussing oil prospects on the Hoh River, and requesting permission to bid on County land in that area. A land app- lication was ap;:>roved for Mr. Lehman for Lots in Blocks 1 to 70, Lots 1-10 Block 73; Lots 1-10 Block 74; Lots 1-4 Blk. Ail Lots 1-6 Block Bi Lots 1-0 Block Ci and Lots 1-6 Block 0 all in 1st Add. to Oil City. Mr. Joseph H. Johnston, Attorney of Port Angeles, appeared and filed a petition for a Mine-to-Market Road on the DosewalUps River. The Board apl'roved the petition by motion made by Geo. Huntin,ford and seconded by Berti 1 Kruse. Resoluti on No. C-200 was signed as follows: RESOLUTION NO. C-200. I ~~REAS, the County of Jefferson h&s received and approven a written petition for the establishement of a mine-to-market road or trail over and across ~ineral Survey No. 1259, Constqnce Mining Distric1', (UnoT'[';,-::n:!.zp.d) clnd WHEF.EI>.S, said cOllnt.~r h, presenting said petition to the Mine-to-z,!ar1tet Road Commi.s- si.on for it:? considerat1:m and approval, NOVr, THEREFORE, BE l'r RI~SOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County hereby agrees ",r.l.th the Mine-to-Market ROHd Commission aOO the Director of Hie;hways, State of Washington, that it will provide at its own expense all necesJary rights-of- 'IIay together 'I'Iith necessary quarry and pit sites for said rnine-to-mar'ket road or trail, and upon certificf.ltion of c';mpletion of said mine-to-market road or trail by the DirecVl!' of Highways, that it will thereafter maintain, keep up, repair and protect said road or t.rail in the same manner as an other county roads f.lnd from funds 8vejJ.r-tble for county road purposes in the county rO'3.d fund.
