Tuesday, September 8, 1953.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session at
10:00 A. M., having been continued regularly as Monday, September 7th, was Labor Day,
an official holiday.
Mrs. Lea R. DRvis, Mrs. Mae Mr.Gregor and others representing the Jefferson County
Leaders' Council of 4-H Clubs appeared, requesting a Home Demonstration Agent for 4H
work in thQ County. The amount needed would be approximately $2,800 for 1955. The
matter will ba invest:lgated as to the amount needed for same.
Mr. J. O. Johnson of Pope 'Yo Talbot appeared and presented the plat for North Ludlow
Beach Tracts. The Board requested a piece of lAnd near Port Ludlow for a garbage dump.
The office 01' Pope & Talbot will be contacted for land which could be used for that
purpose. Bertil Kruse moved and George Huntingford seconded a motion that the Board
accept the Plat as presented. Motion carried. The description of the above Plat 1.11
All of Govt. Lot 5, Sec. 4, T. 2g North, Range 1, W. M., except that portion thereof
lying West of Mats Mats County road.

In the matter of Fairmount Road
County Road No. 146
Resolution to Widen roa.d, drain and
surface the road.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention
t~ improve County Road No. 146 by widening it, draining and wurfacing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is hereby
appropriated sums in the following detail:

DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Day Labor in accordance with
tho Standard Road and Bl'idge Specifications of the State of Washington aa adopted by this
Boa rd.
