On the redistricting of Justice of Peace districts, three Commissioners, the Auditor,
Judge, Prosecuting Attorney and one Justice of the Peace are to be on t.he Board fixing
districts. George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Berti1 Kruse, that Mrs. Ruth
Pyatt be appointed on the Board, and December 7th fixed as the time for setting Justice
of the Peace Distri.cts by the Committee appointed for that pUlpose. Motion carried.

set for hearing November 16th at 10:00 A. M. The petition Wq~ signed by Julian T. Oen,
Nelly Den, Robert J. l'lagee and Doriene Magee.
The di.stribution of Federal Forest Funds was oonsidered at this time. The Board
agreed to divide the money as follows: Schools 50% and Roads 50%. The amount of money
received in this fund was $552,306.59. Those present were W. H. Carder and Russell
Sheffer, Kenneth Ingman, Mrs. Ruth Pyatt and Mrs. Olive Nage. Tom Lieb, County School
Superintendent was also present. George Huntingford made a motion that School Districts
Nos. 20, If6, 48 and 49 be gl.ven $10,000 plus their share figured on a daily ati.,endance
basis. Mr.. Bertil Knlce seconded the moti on. Motion carried. Ita'. Huntingford and Mr.
Arey made statements that next year they would be in fEvor of allotting the schools'
share on a daily attendance basis only. Resolution No. C-2l4 was signed as follows:

The Board of Jefferson COllnty Commissioners for Jefferson County, having been
advised by the County Treasurer of Jefferson County, that the amount of the alJ.otwent
received for the County of Jefferson from the Fenercll Governemfm1. fol' Forest F.eserves
for 1954, is $552,306.59, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCi.rd of County Commissioners for Jeffnn10n CO'int,:,', under
and pursuant 1,0 tl1e provisions of Section 1+0';7, Remin[;ton's Revisf:!d Statlltes, that said
3llotment and the whole thereof shall be expenden for the benefi.t of the public schools
and public roads of Jefferson County, and not othen!ise, as foihlows:
50% shall be pai d to County RN>ds, or the sum of
50% sl1all be paid to County Schools or the sum of
$276,153.29 and
$276,153.30.
