to improve by draining, ballasting and surfacing, with a 2 inches of bituminous surface
tre,atment road mix, type "g", 4.25 miles of the Clearwater Road from its junction with
P. S. No.9

The county road purpose herein descri bed is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public ne cassity
and the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed
thereon as by law provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by Con~ract in accordance with
the Standard Road and Bridge Specifications of the State of Washington as adopted by
thi s Board.

A. C. Grady appeared and advised the Board that in his opinion the Justice of the
Peace on the Commit tee fixing Justi ce Court districts, should be an attorney. No action
was taken at this time by the Board.
Phil Copps representing Puget Sound Power and Light Company appeared and the Board
signed the Acceptance of the Franchise granted December 7th, 1953 to the Paget Sound
Pavor and Light Company.
Oliver Orr, County Agent, N. S. Robb and William Vincent, appeared in connection with
weed opraying on the County roads.
In the matter of awarding bids on the Distributor, the award was not made at this
time, and the members wish~~ to personally inspect several models before making the award.
The allocation for Jefferson County of ~ederal Aid Funds for Roads in 1955 was set
for $11,383.00.
An Order of Sale of County land was signed for February 5, 1954.
Robert C. Rhodes of Hill Haven Company appeared in connection with road spraying for
weeds. The Engineer will meet with the company officJals and County Agent and discuss
plans when the proper time comes.
Resolution No. C-225 was signed transferring $450.00 to State for work on Airport

TO PERFORM CERTAIN WORK
Before the BOllrd of County Conuniasionera of Jefferson County, Washington.
It is HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that the Director of
Hi~ways 1s authorized Qnd directed to process plans and advertise for bids on the County
Road #32 project on Secondary Federal Aid Route No. )22 for grading, draining and surfac-
:l,ng the Station Prairio coc:tion.
to the amount of Four hundred fifty and nO/100 Dollars ($450.00) Dollars, being an amount
not in excess of the amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to
Jefferson County in the Motor Vehicle Fund during hte 1954 biennium and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State Auditor is authorized to roserve from the
allocation of fuel tax revenues to Jefferson County, from the Motor Vehicle Fund, an amount
not ill excess of the above specified Bum, for the use of the Director of Highways to
