Monday, February 15, 1954.
The Honorable Board met at 10:00 A. M. Chairman Lyall Arey and Bertil Kruse were
present, Commissioner George Huntingford attended a road meeting in Olymoia.
A call for bids was made for tearing down and removing from the premises, the
County bridge across the branch of Ludlow Creek on County Road No. 55, to be opened at
10:00 A. M., Monday, March 1, 1954.
A letter was received from the U. S. Department of Agriculture that Federal Forest
Funds will decrease by about 35% with the full impact of such decrease reflected in
the fiscal year 1956. This is due to the completion of salvage of burned timber that
was killed in the Forks fire of 1951, and which has increased materially the money received
by this County during this period of salvage.
Bids were opened at 2:00 p.m. for Surfacing the Clearwater River Road, Project No.
1291 The following bids were r9ceived:
