The proceeds of the tax imposed hereunder shall be credited to the county school fund monthly for distribution to the school districts entitlGd thereto, PROVIDED: that one per cent of the proceeds of this tax shall be crp.dited to the county Current Expense Fund, out of which all cost and expense of administering this ordinance, including cost of printing stamps and forms of affidavi ts and receipts and other forms which may be necessary, shall be psi d: I SECTION XII. This ordinance is deemed severable and any declaration by any court that any section or sections, or portions thereof, arc invalid, shall hAve no effect on the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION XIII. This ordinance is nedessary for the immediate surport of county government and its existing public institutions and shall take effect May 1, 1954, and shall remain in effect until and incl'UdinE May 1, 1955. LYALL AREY Chairman SEAL GEORGE HUNTINCiFORD Member --- #118########## Arthur Garrett of Qui1cene appeared relative to an appointment of a legislator to replace George Adams who recently passed away and was a representative in the legislature representing the Counties of Clallam, Jefferson and Mason Counties. Mr. Merle Hufford also appeared on the same matter. A meeting will have to be held with the Commissioners of Mason and Clallam \"ounties for the purpose of making such appointment i.n the future. Mr. Ernie Dahman of Quilcene appeared beforethe Board relative to the Youth Center in the County Park at Quilcene. It is contemplated residents of Quilcene 'Nill officially turn the building over to the County in the near future. A letter was received from the U. S. Department of ~griculture informing the Board that accordint; to the latest trend, the forest receipts for the next fiscal )'ear wi 11 be decreased a bout 16%. A letter was received from the U. S. Army Engineers in Seatt.le stating that an application has been received by them from the Puget Sound Power and Li&~t Co., for a permi t for an overh ead power line crossing over the Port To'..msend and Oak Bay Canal. Any objections should be submitted to them in writing not later than May 7, 1954. No fUI~her business appearing the meeting was adjourned at noon, to meet in regular session on Monday, May 3, 1954.
