Cmlnty, and the mat.ter havtng been duly advertised for heRring this date at 10:00 A. M.,
and no pcrsonG apne'lrll'l['; to ohject to the m'ltter, a motion was made by Bertil Kruse,
seconded by Georee Huntingford, that the office be abolished at the end of the present
term. Resolution No. C-232 was signed as follows:

RELATING to the office of const11.hJ.e and Rbolishine the office of constable in
JEr~~RSON COUNTY,
\'!HEREAS, after careful study, it is the considered judgment of the HOD-rEI of County
Commissioners of JEI<'n;RSllN County that the office of consti.l'ule no longer serves a useful
function under modem government and that, in the interests of public economy and the
orderly 2.dmin:tst.rRt.Jon of justice, the office ollSht to be abolished;

COUNTY AS FOLLO",'S:
That the offi ce of constable in all pr~c1ncts and dist.ricts of JEj,'jo'l<:RSON County be
and th e same is hereby abolished, and no person shall hereafter be elected or appointed
or serve as constable in an)' preci.nct or district. whether such precinct or district be
yet estabUshed or not: PROVIDED, this resoluti on shall not affect the term of offi.ce or
compensation of any constablp. now serving until the end of his present unexpired term.

The Board agreed thC1t, the insuronce carried on the Youth Cent 81' Ru5.1rlin[; in the
Quilcene County Park should be increased to $10,000.00.
Due to the fGct that no persons appeared at, 2 :00 p.m., for the proposed Ordinance
for the Bangs Disease Program, And t.he matter having been duly advertised for hearing at
this time, and twelve County residents having arreare'l t,hrough petitions protesting t,np.
program, the Board by motion made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by Lyall Arey, resolved ~1~t
the program be not accepted.
