The Honorable Board of Jefferson CO\lnt.jr Commisf.doners met in regular session at

W. T. Johnston, R. D. Merrit~, H. A. Lane appeared relative to a proposed plat
for land near Thorndyke Bay. The BO;:1rd will view t.he rORds constn.lcted bl3for~ accepting
the plat.

The matter of sellinE: a 1938 Ford Dump truck 1'I'hich has not been used by t.he County
Road Dep~rtment for over a year, \'Ias di.scussed. Prices were vven hjr Ul:f1llpic Garage
and Equi.pment Company, Thomas Motors and Johnsoh & Gunstone, all $195.00. The t.ruck
was sold to Johnson and Gunst one, Gardiner for ;$195.00, upon mati. on made by George
HuntlnE;for(l, seconded by Bertil Kruse. Motion carrie{j.

The Honorable Board met at 10:00 A. M., with all members present.
Mrs. 'Nard Williams, arpeared hcfore the Board with plans for a buildine to be built
at the Jefferson C0tlntj' Fair Associ ation. Some bulldm: ing work and some black top
surfacinz will be needed for the grounds. A mot.ion was made by George l1untingford,
seconded by Bertil Kruse, that the Road Department furnish a bulldozer for the required
work, as thi.s is County property. The Fair Board was given permission to remove An:'
trees that are ne ces~;(Jry for the improvement of the grounds.

Engineer Keith Jones presented plan~ for improvements on the Duckabush Rand and Bishop
Road. The Board a;-:rroved the plans. Mr.. Jones also reporterl on proposed oiling for
road throughout the County. This will ap;Jcoximately am'Junt to $26,000.00
The members proueeded to inspect the Chimacum cut-off road near the Airport to
ascertain if the road i.s dryine enough to he surfaced.
