In order to construct rock rip-rap bank protection along the Little Quilcene River
from the Flood Control Funds, the following Resolution No. C-243 was signed:
RESOLUTION NO. C-243
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County deems it necessary to
construct rock rip-rap bank protection and other work along the Little Qui1cene River in
Section 141 T. 27 N., R. 2 W., W. M., and along the Bi e; Quilcene River in Section 24 T.
27 N., R. ~ W, W. M. '
. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that said work be performed by day labor or contruct
and that payment for said work will be made from the Flood Control Fund of Jefferson County
anticipating reimbursement for said river improvement of 40% or more of the cost of the '
work from the State Flood Control Funds in accordance with Chapter 43, Laws of 1949 as amended'
said project to be designated as Flood Contr~l Project No.1 of 1954. '
The estimat~d cost of the project is $2963,27,
Adopted this $th day of Oct. 1954.

The members of the Board passed the following Budget cmd levies for 1955: The final
Current Expense Budget having been set in the amount of $115,068.81, the Board upon motion
made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bert.j J. Kruse and unanimously carried, adopted the
Current Expense Budget as above and signed the Resolution Adopting same.
The final Road Budget was fixed in the amount of $402,372.10, and by motion made by
Bertil Kruse, seconded by George Huntingford, the budget was adopted.
The Equipment Rental and Revolvine; Fund budget set in the amount of $155,500.00, was
adopted by motion made by George Huntingford and geconded by Bertil Kruse.

. The preliminary budgets having been duly filed with the Count.y Auditor on (ll' before
the second Monday in August, 1954, and filed with the Board of County Commissioners on
September 7th, 1954 in accordance with the'provisions of the law, and nue not.ice having
been published in the Port Townsend Leader that on the first Monday in lictobflr, 195h, the

Connection with the Budget, it was ordered that tax levies be set as follows, and the
